CSS Projects
- Traveling Circus: With videos and slide shows, CSS members go to elementary schools and junior high schools to inspire and teach youngsters
about space.
- Space 101: An
educational conference for high schoolers.
- CSS Space News: CSS
has a regular column in the undergraduate
newspaper. This is a tool to help promote space awareness around campus.
- Telescope:
CSS will break ground and begin building their own telescope this year.
- Mission Design Course: This class will be offered to a group
of ten students (chosen by application). They will learn about
systems and science project design. This class will be taught by
Ross Brown.
- World Wide Web Workshop: This workshop, taught by
Stephen Van Hooser, will instruct high school students how to use the
world wide web with an emphasis on finding space-related web sites.
- Student Space
Summit: This summit, coordinated by
Cherish Bauer, will introduce students from the LA area to the numerous
space-activist groups.
- CSS Space Library: The Space Library will contain a
number of books on various space related topics.
