SEDS HAVEN: Internet Teleconference Center_________________ ___________ / ____ ____ ___ \/ _________/ UA SEDS Haven / /___/ /___/ / / / /____ /___ / ____/ / / /____ / ________/ / /___/ /__/ /____/ / Code provided by Larry Daffner of PUSEDS /_________/\___________/______/ Comments to daffnelr@mentor.cc.purdue.eduThe SEDS Haven is provided as a means with which to discuss SEDS-USA business. Usage for other purposes may result in the haven being stopped. Direct problems specific to this haven to ChrisL@SEDS.ORG To access the SEDS Haven, simply telnet to haven.seds.org using port 7337. On a UNIX system this looks like: telnet haven.seds.org 7337On a VAX system it will be more on the order of: telnet haven.seds.org /PORT=7337Note: If you can't telnet to a specific port from your telnet client, telnet to haven.seds.org and login as user haven (no password). Windows 95/98/NT users with the default telnet client may need to do this, as it allows you to connect, but the "/" character is not recognized. Once connected, you may wish to use the
/t command to switch
to traditional mode, and you should use the
/n command to set your
name.
Command Summary:/n $$$$$ sets your name to $$$$$ /w gives the complete list of connections (with idle time) /f gives a much shorter list, without idle time. /t toggles the says mode the haven uses. (NOTE: We advise toggling to "traditional mode") /y yells something to all nonhushed people /h suppresses yells. (hush mode) /c $$$ changes your channel to $$$. /p## sends a message to whoever is on line ## /q disconnects you from the haven Etiquette Rules for SEDS Teleconferences
