Untitled, But Something About Rain

Christopher Bond

How far does a raindrop fall?

Scientists and researchers could tell me,

but they are slaves to mathmatical precision.

Does a drop of rain see the end of its long journey as a death?

Does it, perhaps, wonder,

as it is absorbed into the fertile ground,

if someday it shall be reborn?

To once again travel countless miles,

soaring above trees and mountains and cities,

just to fall, dizzyingly, again,

in a incomprehensible cycle,

encompassing the whole wide Earth,

one part Science, and one part Magick.
