Menuet/CX is the fourth generation of the Menuet family of GUI Application Frameworks. Menuet/CX delivers a rich C++ class library for the developer concerned about aesthetics as well as efficiency. Menuet/CX is the tool that allows easy creation of applications with high quality visual presentations while taking minimal resources. Menuet/CX is one of the few GUI application frameworks on the market to implement a completely opaque API. This insures that applications contain no platform-dependent code, resulting in a true single-source capability. Once the look and feel is designed with Menuet/CX, no additional platform-specific code is required. The source code is ready for any Menuet/CX supported platform. Among its many features, Menuet/CX implements a control abstraction capability that allows such standard GUI constructs as the push button to assume any size, shape, or visual metaphor. Menuet/CX contains 24 different types of graphic primitives including classes to create any arbitrary user defined shape. In addition, the Menuet/CX bitmap and font managers provide extensive functionality for image and text manipulation. Autumn Hill Software, Inc. was founded in 1987 by Marv Luse, the author of "Bitmapped Graphics Programming in C++." The first generation of Menuet was released in 1988 giving Menuet/CX seven years of development and refinement.
