EVENT HORIZONS

SEDS SPACE SURVEY 1998

Event Horizons explores the history of the future and examines our expectations of life to come. Do we anticipate a bright future as a spacefaring civilization or has cynicism jaded our expectations? What major new technologies will enable human expansion into space? Will they be the same technologies anticipated by science-fiction? What major events will serve as mile-markers on the road ahead?

To investigate these questions we present an online survey, an in-depth analysis of the topics presented (including discussion forums for your input), and a up-to-the-second statistical summary of the survey results.

This page is brought to you by SEDS, a student-based organization promoting the exploration and development of space. SEDS pursues this mission by educating people about the benefits of space, by supporting a network of interested students, by providing an opportunity for members to develop their leadership skills, and fostering public support of space-related projects. SEDS believes that becoming a spacefaring civilization is of primary significance in the future of humanity. Please visit our home page for more space and astronomy resources.
